 Types Of Injuries Seen

Hip and knee | Shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand | Calf ankle and foot | Neck and back

Injuries are commonly caused by overuse, direct impact or the application of force that is greater than the body part can structurally withstand. An injury that occurs as a direct result of some sudden event, such as a sprained knee caused by twisting arkwardly is known as an acute injury. In constrast, an injury that is caused by overusing the same muscle group or joints is known as a chronic injury.

Whether your injury is acute or chronic, if pain persists, one should seek a specialist for advice as it may be more serious than you thought especially for children. What may seem like an ankle sprain may be a bone fracture. There are loads of different types of injuries but certain body parts tend to be more prone to damage than others.

Here are some articles on the more common injuries. You will find out the anatomy, symptoms, causes, treatment and rehabilitation of the injuries (ticked headers only) as well as some advice for some home treatments.
